Cassandra scared me with the grill = cancer post so we are having oven-baked chicken with veggies for Friday night. I still grilled Shabbat lunch's chicken. I guess I just reduced the risk by 1/2. I usually grill for both meals.

Tapuzi it's really easy.
Sautee six big onions cut into rings. Either use oil or a bit of spray on stuff in a teflon frying pan.
When the onions are brown put in mixing bowl with two eggs, a half cup to cup of any kind of flour (wheat, quinoa, rye, spelt, buckwheat, soy, you name it, it works), to bind it, if it's too sticky a drop of water, spices to taste (I use garlic, paprika, salt, curcum) and a packet of baking powder, that's about 1 and a half teaspoons. Bake at 400 for about an hour. I usually make four small kugels at a time and freeze, they come out fine and can stay in the freezer for up to 3 months.
