In the family tree of Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, Kate's mother is Carol Middleton, daughter of Ronald Goldsmith and Dorothy Harrison (both Jews).
The parents of Dorothy Harrison are Robert Harrison and Elizabeth Temple (both Jews).
Elizabeth Temple is a descendant of the Myers family, English Jews in the 19th century.
BOTTOM LINE: Princess Kate is a Jew on her matriarchal side. The future king of England will be a Jew according to Jewish law and tradition.

Pretty sure I’ve seen that going around for years. I don’t think it’s true.

Sounds like urban legend to me. I'll believe it when I see it

Somehow everyone's a Jew but there's only like 1 percent of us. Go figure.

I think we tend to like claiming them as our own

Well, the names are right, as far as Wikipedia goes. But there's no evidence as to whether they're Jewish

OP, Im not sure where you got your info from, maybe wiki, because that always very reliable with true information, but here is an article that debunks your info:

My great aunt was busy boasting about this around ten years ago lol. I don't remember why she was in the news then. The wedding maybe?

Considering that her son will likely be the King of England one day, it's just as well that he's not Jewish, since one of his duties will be to act as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

Elizabeth Taylor converted to Judaism in 1959 - she was married to Mike Todd and then Eddie Fisher who were both Jewish.
I very much doubt that she took it seriously and her conversion would not be accepted by strictly Orthodox standards since it was done by a Reform rabbi.
FWIW Marilyn Monroe and Sammy Davis, Jr. also converted to Judaism and I am reasonably sure that it was meaningless on any level except the most basic performative aspect.
The new Princess of Wales is NOT Jewish and the ridiculous rumor is based solely on her having an ancestor who had a name that is sometimes associated with Jewish people. And even if there is some descendent long ago who had some amount of DNA what difference does it make because there is nothing in her family upbringing that has anything to do the actual practice of Judaism. She doesn't identify with Judaism and isn't even as much of a Jew as a secular Jew who identifies culturally with being Jewish even if they are completely non-observant.
ETA - Also it is a bit rude to refer to her as Kate Middleton as that is not her legal name as she has been married for more than a decade. Do you refer to married women by their maiden names?

there is a possibility, even if her ancestors were buried in a Christian cemetery.
Since, (after the Mendelsohn era,) German Jews in the thousands (if not more) converted to Christianity. Many of them later emigrated to England.

Sometimes, if I knew them before they were married and am mentioning them to someone who also knew them before they were married and may not know their married name. Like, say, just about everyone in my graduating class.
