That was me a few months ago…
I had a big birthday and no one said anything.
No gifts
No party
No phone calls
No balloons
No flowers
No cards
No wishes

It still hurts a lot to think about it a few months later…

As the day was coming to an end I realized that it wasn’t going to be acknowledged.
I got into my car and bought myself the most delicious chocolatey milkshake I ever had. I’m usually so careful with dieting and didn’t treat myself to a milkshake in years. This was a real treat and I enjoyed it very much while locked in my bedroom.
That’s not all. I’ve been buying things for myself ever since. I’m worth it. I’m a nice person and if no one else cares about me I will take good care of myself. I’m always thinking a lot before I spend. Not anymore. I deserve it. Nothing to think about. I bought myself a new shaitel, eyeglasses, a (not cheap) pocketbook I really wanted, clothing … without feeling guilty. I plan to continue to celebrate my birthday over the year. If no one else does, then I will.

Happy birthday! Go buy some nice things for yourself.
