ok, I am back.
this recipe was created by my mom and I , so if I do not give u exact amounts, please excuse me!
the RAW chicken cutlet is placed flat in middle of the phyllo dough.
on top of the chicken, u spoon ur veggies. I did it many times with different veg. one time I used a bodek mix, one time I made a letcho, with peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, salt, pepper, onion, garlic..
if you put spices into the veg mix, u do not need any additional spices.
after that is in place, u fold the dough over it, and make sure the dough is securely closed. now u will have a long log there, so u pinch the 2 sides closed to shape a candy. u can tie scallion greens on to the " candy wrapper"( which have been in cold water, so they are more pliable)
bake this until the dough becomes golden brown.
enjoy!

2 questions:
1- do you put any sauce?
2- phyllo dough is the thick dough?
basically, its a dough/chicken/vegie roll?

1. nope, no sauce. when I made it with the bodek veggies, then I think I put some soy sauce while cooking. but when u make it with fresh veggies, the tomatoes make a nice sauce for it.
2. phyllo dough is the really thin crispy dough. It is not thick. they come in a long box, and u have to use a few sheets of them so it shouldn't tear.

This sounds like a nice recipe - thanks for sharing. (When I heard CANDY chicken I thought this was going to have some kind of sugary candy crust. )

I know, I want to create something like that! stay tuned!!!
I might do something like taking sugared pecans or walnuts and using that as a crunch on top of my cutlets.
I would smear the cutlets with duck sauce or honey, and coat them with the crushed nuts.
bake them for 20 minutes!
I did do something similiar one night before pesach, and it was delicious!
so, here u have it, candied chicken!
( if u are really adventurous, u can take mints and crush them, and mix them with bread crumbs.... wonder how that would fare!!)

thanks B&B, it came out yum. I left it in for 25-30 mins but I think 20-25 would've been better. my husband loved it, he was so impressed. only it was a bit dry so next time I'll add soy sauce to the veggies or maybe duck sauce in the insideof the wrap.
