as long as you aren't being crude & talking about "solid waste" pencils- maybe you'll get lucky & crayon won't be modifying your little discussion here.

I just did the swirl thing since I wanted to make it in a round pan. Mine his healthy because I use real carrots
But seriously, I never make it for us, only for company. I can't subject the rest of the world to my spartan style Shabbos meals.

ok, you guys are making me hungry... Which recipe do you use for the carrot kugel, or will any old recipe do? I have one from Purple Spice and spirit, and one for muffins from KBD kids in the kitchen... So please advise...

Thanks for the carrot kugel recipe. I will try it (But I use frozen carrots to cut down on the work - I think they are just as healthy as fresh)
I make that corned beef recipe all the time and everybody always loves it.

sole with mustard cream sauce
Jasmine rice
asparagus with orange-pistachio sauce
sauteed okra with corn and tomato (inspired by our Southern posters here)
chocolate layer cake
(I don't think the okra with corn and tomato will go all that well with the asparagus and its sauce, but that doesn't really matter since I'm the only one who will be eating the okra)

What can I use instead of applesauce in the carrot - blueberry kugel recipe? I don't feel like going out shopping again today.
Or maybe I'll just make my own carrot kugel recipe.

I made it with my own recipe. I think it will work fine with any recipe.

I just bought this hugest zuchini the size of a baseball bat (no exageration) and it cost me 2 shekel. And I'm making one big stuffed zuchinni out of it...
So my meal:
Shlissel challah with the most heavenly recipe.
Chicken soup
Potato kugel
Stuffed zuchini
Roasted bell peppers
Home made babaganoush
Cabbage salad, maybe
Raw beet salad, maybe
Watermelon
Shabbos day, same, with the addition of chicken salad.
I'm boring. So few things for the meal. I guess with the house a huge mess I cant make the most elaborate meals, and better have a clean house and a semi decent meal than an elaborate meal in a mess...
