I have been following the news recently and know that there is someone from Jackson. Mordy Gelfand that is missing already for two weeks.

Does anyone have any update?

He was either found and the family doesn’t want it discussed
Or he wasn’t found and the family is in turmoil and doesn’t want it discussed for many reasons
It’s not in the news for a reason. I’m sure this is disappointing for curious people.

I don’t see an update. I see people saying “keep davening, but stop speculating.” I am not speculating. I am asking if anyone knows if I should still be davening that he be found. That’s all.

If anyone knows, I would appreciate if they could pm me.

I posted on the other thread that my DH was searching. Afaik they are still quietly searching, a few guys go down there every week or so.

Maybe it's no one's business what happened.

If he's dead than your tehilim will be to elavate his soul and possibly. Find his body and get a proper burial, if he's alive it will be for him to get better physically/mentally or to get found.

Why are there always such angry defensive posts about this topic? Is this coming from family on the site? Someone was publicly missing it is a reasonable question to ask what happened when there has been no follow up for 6 weeks.
