I definitely have recipes I use from both. it depends on your syle of everyday cooking. kosher bydesign is very fancy. I use it to cook for yt sometimes. if you are a minimalist kitchen person- I would recommend kosher palette.

Kosher by Design Short on Time is the one I used the most (Entertains - too fancy and time consuming). KP is good as well.

HAve both. prefer KBD. Also have "entertains"...but still prefer regular KBD. Would like "short on time" too...

I have all three - and I like Short on time the best, with Kosher Palette coming in second.

The first Kosher Palette is much better than the 2nd kosher palette.

The first kosher Palette was done by Susie, but the second one wasn't... I think I use KBD the most of all three when I use a cookbook at all... I am usually the type to put a pinch of this and a dash of that int oa pot and see what happens!

Kosher Palette, hands down. I have both KP and all of the KBD. KP series has many more recipes that my family will actually eat, although I have gotten recipes from the KBD books, too. If you're going to go with one, go with KP.

I have KP and KBD, KBD entertains, KBD short on time, and KBD passover. I use recipes from all of them, but would recommend KP first. It's got the classic recipes. I'd recommend KBD short on time next.

Kosher By Design is my absolute favorite cookbook- the copy I got when I got married is falling apart, I've used it so much!

I use it for shabbos mostly, but the recipes in there are basically no-fail taste good ones (I tried the ebony and ivory and it fell apart, but it still tasted good- and that was the only "failure").

The stuffed zucchini, the zucchini soup, the parsnip soup, the tarragon chicken are all some of my favorites. Oh, and the triple-layer brownies are amazing.
