I dislike atonal, electronic music, especially the kind with high pitched electronic 'squeal' sounds. That really hurts my ears and gives me a headache. |
Me too. And I also dislike constant drumbeat.

I lost my eyeglasses and found them after 6 months in my couch, when I opened it to make a bed for a guest.
Does this count?
Otherwise: books I lent to others

Very. I can spend hours walking through a beautiful park, watching the ocean, staring at a beautiful sky...
Do you appreciate newcomers to an ima-game or do you prefer just the oldies?

It's always good to have fresh blood, there were only a few oisgekratzte game players, otoh every day I see new names on this site, this in itself is a game to navigate the confusing maze. Finally you get to know some posters then oops! feels like you are walking into the wrong wedding hall where you know no one.
Unless a new poster stands out for some bizarre reason, it becomes one mumble jumble of the new posters.
Tell me if you attend sheva bruchos of your cousins?

Spending summers at my grandparents' summer home. So many memories from there!
I remember letting the butterflies of our butterfly garden free outside their house, I was really young but I remember calling goodbye to them!
Do you like animals?

I won't answer an outright, "no," because animals are also Hashem's Creation.
But, I'm not the quintessential animal lover though I would never hurt an animal, c'v.

I blush inside. Though you don't see it on my face.
Do you enjoy organizing your house?

It’s not necessarily something I would choose to do when I’m looking for enjoyment, but once I’m doing it I enjoy it. I’m complicated like that 😉.

I don't view it as like or dislike. I just don't do it.

Wow! ke'h, it sounds like you really keep fit. Good for you!
What is your go-to meal (not snack!) when you don't have time to prepare and need to grab something quickly? |
sandwich
fillings: smoked salmon or sardines with mayonaisse, tomato slices near it
grilled cheese sandwich
avocado with salted shredded carrots near it
mashed eggs with cucumber slices
Do you have designated days in which you do laundry, shopping, changing bed linen, or cook, bake etc. during the week? Or d'you just go with the flow?

I used to have dedicated laundry days. As the laundry grew (together with the family bli ayin hara) I find that I'm doing it more often, so my laundry days are going extinct. (Or rather, every day is a laundry day!) Grocery shopping usually gets done by delivery on Thursdays for Shabbos and the coming week. Everything else gets done when needed (hopefully!).
Can you share something funny a child/grandchild once said?

I was pregnant and my then 3 yr. old daughter tapped my stomach and exclaimed, "Mummy, can I burst the balloon?"
How many Mishloach Manos do you usually send?

Not the ones with tons of sweet nosh.
What do you do with the tons of stuff left from Mishloach Manos?

Some items, such as cakes, kugels and rolls, we freeze and use for a couple of weeks following Purim. The bulk of the nosh and sweets we take in a big bag to a checkpoint not far from where we live and give it to the chayalim there. They appreciate it!
Was there a teacher who had an impact on your life? Please tell a bit about it.

Anyone want to answer "Tof Umachol's" excellent question?
Then this game can move on...

A specific lesson: in 12th grade, a teacher taught us the concept of "Yemei Ahavah" and Yemei Sinah" (I think from R' Wolbe)
It was extremely validating to learn that that's a real thing - that sometimes I feel great in my Yiddishkeit, close to Hashem, want to daven... and sometimes I'm just not in the mood, but that's normal! And that the yemei ahavah are there to show us what we can do and can feel.
Is there a mitzvah that you feel especially connected to?
