Do you have an ending in mind or is it completely spontaneous with each installment?

The ending is that they go home, of course! (I only do happy endings.)
But each installment is more or less spontaneous. I start thinking about what happens next after I finish writing the previous installment.

Why did they have to get married? I don't quite understand that. Couldn't things just continue as they were until the study was over?

You are so talented! Thank you for entertaining us!
Are you a writer by profession? Or are you in the writing field?

Was the study supposed to be for 20 years? In that case it makes more sense for them to marry

They needed to be in pairs (roommates) for the next part of the study. If they didn't pair them up, they would have been required to restart the whole study for that group. After the mixup, they didn't let them switch back so that the girls would have female roommates as originally decided. The askonim decided that marrying them off was smarter than restarting their study and risking who knows what. (Hope that was clearer!)

I am not a writer, though my job requires a lot of writing and editing.

I thought each phase of the study was six months but it seems like it’s lasting much longer. Why would there be another 18 months left?
Not that I mind the longer this story lasts the better!
And I am intrigued by the chocolate spread cliffhanger😉

I was a little distressed by the racist implications of the latest installment.
Is that for a reason or just stam?

Sorry, didn't think it would be misinterpreted! Eli realized right away that it must have been Mark who stepped in to save the situation. Mark, who happens to be black, is known to be the only nice guard. (He didn't specify this to Chava because he knows she is sensitive about the whole issue, but Mark did save her life.)

Okay I’ll have to re-read it.

And if you reread, you can figure out what the chocolate spread is in reference to. |
Just reread and still couldn’t figure out the chocolate spread reference.
