does anyone have a good recipe for chocolate moose?
My mom just bought me a mixer and I´m dying to use it!

yes!
(My mother's recipe....so does that make it "The Queen Mothers Moose?")
8 eggs separated
melt 8-9 ounces chocolate chips on double broiler or in microwave
beat whites until very stiff. DON'T OVERBEAT! (takes only a couple minutes)
add yolks to chocolate, just two at a time. mixing well.
fold egg whites into chocolate.
pour into pretty glass serving bowl, and place in fridge.
really easy, and a favorite all round!

speaking of uncooked eggs. someone was talking about their recipe using uncooked eggs, and she said that salmonella is on the egg shells. so as long as you wash the outside of the eggs before using, you don't have to worry about raw eggs. anyone heard of this before? I was a little  .

never heard of that. but did hear it was related to the actual eggs themselves. I guess one shouldn't be serving mouse too often.... but every once in a while, could that be harmful????
I'll just close my eyes and pray as my dh loves it!!!!!!!!

salmonella can come from eating eggs once, its not a cumulutive thing.

My sister's Duncan Heinz cakes always come out higher/bigger than mine. I wonder why!!!! LOL

I have a crazy phobia about serving anything with raw yolks.I remember hearing that the whites r okay. I did find a chocolate mousse recipe without raw eggs, I will try to look for it when I have a chance
