Tell me about ur sibling |
Do you means the excellent books from Rav David Ashear?
That's so nice - that you and your husband learn it every night.
I have a precious brother and a precious sister, b'H.
I'm the oldest, then my brother, then my sister. A sweet trio.
My darling sister is marrying off her first - a daughter ke'h, iy"H in just over a month. They live in England. I'd LOVE to travel for the chasunah. But, only Hashem Knows if that will be. And I'm working on accepting Hashem's Decision either way b/c only He Knows what's good for us.
Tell me about corona in the U.S.? Has it ended, be"H?

Sorry that I asked; I didn't mean to get people angry at you, c'v. 'twas an innocent Q.
Hot - coffee or cocoa or tea.
Cold - plain water.
Are you scared of blood tests?

No, I am not scared of blood tests, but I do tend to look away when they stick the needle in, because it makes me queasy to actually see them taking my blood.
What habit of yours would you like to be rid of?

Didn't plan yet. Things change so fast, what with corona (still not finished) and now, Gaza/Israel fighting...
Hard to plan.
La di da la la, I'm so excited I can finally listen to music. I so needed it. We hear from Rosh Chodesh Sivan, when do you start listening to music again in the Sefirah?

Already did listen to. Rosh Chodesh started here a good few hours before it started on your side of the ocean. I logged into Gruntig.com, where I usually find the new Jewish frum songs, but didn't see anything interesting. So, I listened to a recent new one which I love. Guess which one?
"A Yid" - Benny Friedman. Outstandingly beautiful. Then I listened to his - "My Cheder Rebbi", I think it's called. Also great. Then I listened to a song that I really like the tune - "Birkas Kohanim" - duo- Shloimy Gertner with ? Kempe. Sorry, forgot his first name. Then I fell asleep while listening...
What's your favorite Jewish song?

Yeah I wear slippers at home - clogs in the winter and flip-flops in the summer.
Is there a smell you really love?

I'm really sensitive to smell so they are a lot of smell I don't like but I do like the smell of freshly baked Challah, fried onions, and the "yesterday, today and tomorrow" bush/shrub
Have you ever smelled that plant? (scientific name is Brunfelsia Pauciflora)

Dunno what it is.
You seem to be knowledgeable about botany.
What subject, topic or world topic interests you very much?

Botany, I wish, I just have that plant in my garden..
I enjoy Jewish history, and enjoy reading about Gedolim (though many books are way too detailed!) and other great Jews, also Holocaust books. I can't figure out why there are historical fiction Holocaust books.
What is you favorite Jewish biography?

I understand you re Holocaust historical fiction. I don't read Holocaust fiction. One can just not think up happenings during the Shoah; it was too horrific.
I enjoyed all the Jewish biographies that I've read, so far.
Who is your favorite Jewish author?

I also love Ruthie Pearlman's books.
Subdued b/c of the Karlin tragedy (dh & s-I-l (first responders) came home from there rather late Yom Tov night.) Plus the Gaza/Israel fighting. Every time there's a siren it wails on dh's cellphone, and he has to keep it on, Shabbos and Yom Tov, due to his work.
But B'H Yom Tov was very nice with some of our married children and sweet grandchildren ke'h who'd come to us for Yom Tov. My poor daughter: it took time for her to calm down - they're Karlin-Stolin & her husband was there in Givat Ze'ev by the Rebbe. Hodu L'Hashem my dh could tell her that her husband was fine, b'H.
While you're doing housework does your mind wander to things that happened, or to-do's that need to get done, or other..., or do you stay focused on what you're doing?
