I’m sick to my stomach. I actually want to vomit. This feels like September 11 , but a jewish one.

I don’t remember such a tragedy.

Hashem yerachem.

We’re all sisters and brothers, this feels personal.

The saddest tragedies are the ones that are totally avoidable... 😞

No tragedy can be avoided. It's a gezeira min hashamayim and it was meant to happen. Only tefillah can avoid tragedies! Oy, this is so terrible!!

I realize that we need to process this. There are all sorts of musings on this thread as we do so. But may I suggest, watching this. 3 minutes.

I don’t think so. Never on such a scale. Horrible is a understatement.

Don’t want to hijack this thread, but a stampede caused by overcrowding and a blocked exit could absolutely have been avoided by better infrastructure and organization. And obviously must be taken account into the future so that it doesn’t happen again.

Israel is good at these things. (Better than the US at least)
I'm sure it will be.

Not possible to phone people there. The cell-phone system there was overloaded which resulted in no reception and now no phone waves.
This must be so difficult for people who want to phone family members who travelled to Meron.
