For those saying that police just stood and watched: the videos I saw showed policemen reaching into the mass to pull people to safety, and Police pulling down corrugated metal partitions (Very difficult),to give the crowd an escape route and relieve the crush. All at tremendous personal risk of being crushed themselves.

Let's honour our first responders whom worked to save more lives from an unimaginable accident. It was a terrible situation, and the men whom ran to help are not to blame.

I’m from Montreal, someone in our community lost a son. It’s unfathomable. BD”E Dovi Steinmetz. Our entire community is mourning.

I have no words. 1 life is to much! But 40ish?

That’s beyond comprehensible.

I can’t stop to think what I can personally do to improve myself. I know hashem is sending us messages. BUT WHAT??? I have no clue what he wants from us now. Honestly, I feel kind of despair and hopeless. Everything is so bleak now.

Baruch Dayan Ha'Emet. Nachman Daniel ben Miriam Elana from Bergenfield, NJ who was learning at Shalavim was found and tragically passed away.

This is a day when we celebrate Rabbi Akiva rebuilding; one of the 5 talmidim whom Rabbi Akiva was able to start over with, ensuring the transmission of the mesorah, was Rabbi Shimon.

(I'm not ignoring the tragedy. One of my neighbours will be sitting shiva next week. But on Shabbos we put it aside, however hard that is.

What can we be grateful for? He was identified before Shabbos, will be brought to kevurah before Shabbos, and no further chilul Shabbos will take place on his account, as would happen if he was not yet identified. )

My brother in law was found learning in soul . A real butcher that just didn’t think of calling home , what a night it was the uncertainty but to hear he’s fine...... ( found out at 3am )
