Update: The Doctors are optimistic about Rivka being able to move her arms!! This is a big step forward because before this they weren’t sure if she would be able to even use her arms anymore.
UPDATE: Rivka is having more stretches of consciousness. They lowered Rivkas oxygen and her O2 stat is maintaining itself. Good news in terms of weening her from vent. She continues to improve and she waves to us and put her fingers together to make a heart.
Everyone - Please continue to daven!

Rivka just had a strange cardiac episode. Among the issues... Her heart just went flatline for 30 seconds. She almost coded and then came back. Doctors are baffeled. They think it is a vagel response to a blood clot and are calling for a lot of tests...please continue to daven.

UPDATE: Rivka’s MRI didn’t show anything wrong with her so they believe the reason her heart failed was because it was a kink in the tube and they fixed it. This is good news because it means there’s nothing wrong with her body it was the machinery.

Update: Rivka had an uneventful night. She continues to heal. Yesterday the lab tests came back with the source of her infection so they started a more targeted antibiotic. Hopefully that will help with her fever. Things keep looking better.

Rivka was just extubated. Her throat is very sore so she can only whisper a little bit but that will get better in a day or 2. She’s still a bit weak and tired but she’s making a lot of progress. This is a huge step😁

I haven't been able to get her out of my mind. Please let her know that we are davening very hard that she should have a refuah sheleimah, and go from strength to strength.
