People on medication for bipolar disorder can and do have children. Doctors work with them in terms of medication during pregnancy.
Rachelli's revelation cleared up a lot of questions for me. Like why she agreed to marry him and then went all out on a dress. Makes perfect sense if she was manic.
Just saw a trailer for the next episode.
Chanina seems shocked that Ruchomi has a big belly.
Where has he been the last 4 months?
I wonder if the rest of the episode will reflect a 4 or 5 month time lapse.
I also saw that and was disappointed that until now shtisel has not had any immodesty but this one is breaking their unspoken rule.
Yes Pearl, I also find it funny Nuchem is engaged to someone he might have lumped together with "reshaim arurim". I also find it real and true to life.
Shulem is a frum man who takes his faith seriously. They often show him with a sefer learning. Nuchem is that type of guy many of us know who displays how religious he is by putting down other people. It's easier than sitting over a gemara and it feels so good! We can pat ourselves on the back and feel virtuous in comparison to the wicked Tziyonim without expending any effort to improve our own souls. Because his saying "reshaim arurim" isn't real avodas Hashem like actual mitzvahs and learning, it's easy to throw it away whenever it's convenient, in Nuchem's case when he meets a potential love interest who has her foot in the wrong camp.
I need to defend Nuchem though. In season 2 Libi says „my father is a businessman but he never missed a daf Gemore in his life“.
I’m still stuck on episode 6. The story with Tzvi Arye makes no sense!! Who ever heard of a grown man getting stuck in a car like a baby and fainting!???
Hello unlock the front door??? Or crack the window??
The brilliance of Shtisel are the scenes that embed themselves in your memory. Like Ruchami and Chanina both delivering mail in the predawn light in the quiet Geulah streets. In this last episode- Shulem and Nechama across the street from each other waiting for their buses. Akiva and Rachelli telling the lady from the revacha what they can’t tell each other. The acting is so good and the filming is even better. I can’t believe we get only two more evenings of this.

Just watched this episode. I agree with the others that this was a very good one. And it also answered lots of questions that we were tummeling over in these last few pages.
Some parts were hard to watch, such as the parts with Ruchami. Sad that this is a reality for some people.
I didnt fully understand what Professor Mishnayot was saying, what Ruchami's diagnosis is. Can anyone enlighten me?
Also, I think Rachelli is kind of stubborn. I understand she was hurt that Akiva didn't answer her calls one day. But he apologized. Give him another chance! Why hold onto that grudge especially when you know this is a man you really want?

The doors were locked from the outside. He probably didn't have anything to break the window with.
I didn't think he fainted, I thought he just fell asleep, and then got dehydrated.
Good question why he didn't use his phone.. I would say he didn't have it with him but we see from other episodes that he seems to always have his phone with him.
