What I can't figure out is how there was a cheder boy with a smartphone and that was not addressed at all.

Lipa seems to be a bit more “modern” than the typical yerushalmi it actually kind of made sense to me.

Yes, he certainly is - also that he has a car....
And I guess people get to know very popular tunes even if they're not the ones sung at one's shul.

He certainly might have been painting the mother and baby as an expression of his wishful thinking.
Question - if a mother lo aleinu dies in childbirth, is it customary to name the daughter she was birthing after her? I can't even imagine that TBH.

She obviously must have died in childbirth or soon thereafter. The baby looks to be younger than a year, I think.

she couldn't have died in childbirth because she is saying "I would like to go back to breastfeeding" and also there is a picture by Aktiva where she is lying in bed with a baby, that doesn't look like its immediately after giving birth
