Interesting thing is when people meet our Pias many say it's a name in their family tree from generations back or that they know other Pias. I guess it's not so unusal after all just overlooked. In Bobov it's pretty common since one big family has it.

Vichna was DHs grandmother-not Rebbitzen Kaplan. Yospa is another name in DHs family. So is Lapidos Chlavna for a man. He has a cousin named Lapidos Chlavna but he is called by a secular name.

I'm named after a Mereh, my name is Miriam. I also have Zissel, Zlata, and Fruma in my family tree, but those aren't as unusual. Also have an ancestor named Genendel, and another relative named Rella. Another ancestor was named Tchana, not Chana.

I have kids who carry the names Zissel and Vichna as middle names. Also Amram but that wasn't for a relative but for someone who we respected greatly.

Hi to everyone who has figured out who I am!

My Dh is Paul. I always thought that was very non-Jewish. (He has a very Jewish Hebrew name.)

I know a Paul who is in his 70’s. His hebrew name is Aba. His kids call him Daddy. Smile

We have a few, but we know it’s their nicknames. No one was able to remember their actual name. They were young and killed in the camps.
