My best friend gave it to me!
She got it from a mutual friend of ours that we used to go to shabbos meals back when we were single. And she feeds a crowd every shabbos so I would need a much smaller recipe.

Cholent

Fatty meat
Pot full of water
Oil
Capful of garlic, paprika, and onion powder
Black pepper
Dr Pepper/Cola - quarter cup for a large pot
A tablespoon and another half tablespoon of coffee
Squirt of mustard
Lots of ketchup
4 potatoes
Barley
Beans

Salt meat in pot
Shmear spices on the meat
Coat meat in oil
Fill the pot with a quarter cup soda and water till half of the meat
Add coffee, mustard, ketchup 4 potatoes barley and beans

Remember this is for a crowd! Of 15-25 people.

I find that smaller cholents never come out quite the same.

I make cholent for four people:
big piece of flanken
1-2 potatoes
Half a package of cholent beans
Some oil
A tablespoon of sugar
About Two tablespoons salt
Some garlic powder or two cloves garlic
Two shakes of red paprika
A little black pepper
That’s it. Bring to a boil and then on a tiny tiny flame for 6 hours.

Make the recipe as directed.

Put half of it in the freezer.
