I have a side steak I'd like to use for an appetizer. I'm looking for recipes and it seems to be interchangeable sort of with London broil. Any recipes, preferably that don't involve the broiler? Thanks.

I use the oven set to 500/525 instead of the broiler for London broil. No honey in the marinade (since that smokes and burns).

Thanks.
And I probably would have skipped the honey.
Now, while a recipe said side steak or London broil, the question is, do you make them the same way?

Thanks. Maybe I'll ask the butcher.

FYI: Just spoke to the meat dept. I asked if there's another name for it because I'm not finding recipes. They said cook it like a brisket.
So I'm thinking, how to do I cook it like a brisket in a way that will be good for salad (because my brisket is saucy) and not too much like the brisket I plan to serve the night before?
Any suggestions are welcome. One caveat: No sugar, honey, silan, any sweetener. Thanks!
