Have you gathered many zechuyot? |
It depends on dialect Hebrew or Lashon Hakodesh. Also on Havara.

Really?
I thought it was just a mistake that crept in with the yiddish-speakers who were not really proficient in lashon hakodesh, like "shtuyot-stissim" and even!!! "Shabatot - shabbossim"... that's really strange...
So you are saying that there is regular word "zechusim" in your lashon hakodesh?

Yes because ת is sounded as "s". ת with a dot in center is sounded as "t" in lashon hakodesh.
When Hebrew was made they changed stuff around.

Also the nekudos are differently pronounced in different circles. Also dagush, emphasis.

So this would transform the plural ending -ot into -im?
I always thought -ot would become -os or -es or -aus in the different ashkenasy prononciations... interesting...

How would shtusot sound? It ends in plural accordingly to the shoresh word, if it a zachor or nekava.
Some words end in im- and some in us. Challos. Dagim. We dont say Challim.

Basically yes when end in a ת like an s we add im. Like shtissim. Shabbosim. Zechissim.
No ת at end kapparos. Challos. Neiros. Diros. Hafganos. Megillos. Torahs. Basically the ה at end transforms to ת.
Because most words ending in ה are nekavah

Chochmos
Daagos
Chuppahs
Mitzvos
Sukkos
Shiros
Besurahs
Besulos

All end in ה. Are most probably all female version.

I gathered all the zechusim, and zechiyot. I ate up all the sweet carrots. And rimon.
Was your rimon nice and tasty?
ETA oh my I skipped the last page. I answered the last question from the previous pg cuz thought that was last.

That was actually the last question...
the rimon was still a bit pink, but not sour.
Do you think the color of the grains in the rimon depends on how ripe it is or on some other factor like genetics?

Ah, so in yiddish those words have a different grammar than in lashon hakodesh.
In lashon hakodesh it is
Shtut (or you would say: stis) - stuyot (stiyes?)
Shabat (shabbos) - shabbatot (shabbosses?)
Torah - Torot (tojres)
Zechut (zchis) - Zechuyot (zchiyes)
Bsura (bsire?) -bsurot (bsires?)
Chuppa (chippe?) -chuppot (chippes?)

Yes.
Hebrew words in yiddish (in the yiddish you speak) seem to have a different grammar than in lashon hakodesh, as I said above:
In lashon hakodesh it is
Shtut (or you would say: stis) - stuyot (stiyes?)
Shabat (shabbos) - shabbatot (shabbosses?)
Torah - Torot (tojres)
Zechut (zchis) - Zechuyot (zchiyes)
Bsura (bsire?) -bsurot (bsires?)
Chuppa (chippe?) -chuppot (chippes?)
How do you think did this come to be?

Yes, of course...
Why do you think it says "באי כלה"? because shabbat is nekeva...
How do you think did this divergence between your yiddish and lashon hakodesh come about?
