They get lousy pay to begin with. You couldn't pay me enough to do their job!
If the US keeps going the way it's going, there's going to be a lot of call for private security guards anyway, so I'm sure they won't be out of work long.

FF are they really lousy pay? We have a frum chasiddish friend that became an NYPD officer after he already was a nurse because the pay was better and they have great benefits and pension etc.

Once they move up to other ranks the pay is actually in the hundreds of thousands. Still, now knowing that if you’re in a situation where you have to defend your life and use force against a black criminal, you could very well end up imprisoned for the rest of your life, no money is worth it.
