We almost lost my grandfather to coronavirus. He is elderly, has several health conditions, and the virus hit him so hard.
He recovered, b"H.
Today he called my son to ask him for help assembling little bags of treats to have on hand for any visiting grandkid. He's back in business!

Tell me about a positive personality trait of yours

In like Jan/Feb I started yoga. Though it's been hard without physical classes to go to.

Tell me about an impulse purchase that you constantly use

I love wearing my faux fur light gray shirt (wearing it now in fact)! It doesn’t look shlumpy at all and it’s sooo comfortable! When I wear it around kids, they are constantly petting me. I’ll miss it when it gets warmer out...!

Tell me what you’re looking forward to when summer comes around.

Coronavirus has had some inspiring bits of you keep your eyes open.

I am feeling so blessed that we have a backyard and even a playground set especially with city living (yes city living exists even out of town!)

Tell me your assumptions about out of town living. (I’ll try and dispel any myths)

I learnt something new: apparently I’m sensitive to people who put down therapy. It feels invalidating to my struggles and subsequent journey.

Tell me about what still needs to get done today- helllp!

I hope you were able to finish it all! As for now, BH there’s lots that could be done but nothing that needs to be... ah, bliss! 😊

And Oak, don’t listen to the naysayers. I’ve been going to therapy (on and off as needed, CBT and regular talk therapy) for the last three years or so, and all I ask myself is why I waited so long? I’ve become so much more thought-out. I pay so much more attention to my thoughts and my actions. It’s such a Jewish concept. Tell those big mouths to jump in a lake. I truly believe that with an appropriate therapist, everyone can benefit. We’re all only human. Everyone can work on his/herself to become a better person.

Tell me, if the dream happened and coronavirus was over tomorrow, what would you do first?

Cry.
Not because of sadness, not tears of joy either. I could see myself having an anticlimactic sort of Adrenalin ptsd crash or something and not know what to do with my feelings.
I’d love to sit by the beach though.

Tell me - are you a water gal or a forest lover?

Water or forest... I don’t have such strong feelings either way. It would depend more on who was going with me.

Tell me who you would visit first if the need for social distancing ended.
