If people are ALL acting selfishly then they are by definition all eating from the Eitz HaDaas and yes mot tamut they will all "die".
Hamevin yavin.
Just the real message of this virus is DON'T BE SELFISH. Look out for the needs of everyone not just yourself.
If everyone just thinks of themselves then they will buy out all the masks and sanitizer and cleaning agents for themselves. Then there won't be any left for the really sick people and the doctors etc. And then it will really spread and we will all die. But of we take care of EACH OTHER we can beat this.
Honestly I believe this is a message from G-d himself.

Even if this guy caught it from this waiter, chances of him having passed it to his kids and his kids having it enough to pass it on all in less than a week are very low. It seems to be a slow moving virus. You’re fine.

And stay six feet away
In Westchester you can’t visit nursing homes or assisted living centers stock up on 14 days to f food if you have been exposed

The waiter must have been in the same room
Ads the lawyer for many hours during the barmitzvah people in newrochelle
Who do not voluntarily self quarantined and are seen out their neighbors want to call the police on them
I read this on mothers of newrochelle
Rabbi fi nk the rabbi of young isreal of newrochelle also writes about people who do not self quarantined and are about town

I probably wouldn't even go to get tested unless symptoms warranted hospitalization.
I would just be careful not to go on top of other people if I felt ill.
You're probably all horrified right now, but I don't want to be locked down in my house and broadcasted all over the news... |
Thanks to people like you I won’t be attending my family’s Purim Seuda, which can ultimately host hundreds of people through the night. Who knows how many other people there are out there who have the same line of thought as you? (And were actually exposed)

So your desire to not be stuck at home for a few days trumps others desire to live. I respectfully suggest that CYLOR about that.

I would be very careful about spending time with older people or people with health issues. And maybe warn other people.
In Israel, people in a similar situation have to self quarantine.

I wish I could agree with you, but the fact that there are 5 kids in my town, who were exposed to the 2 Rockland cases are all under quarantine with the ERCSD schools getting sterilized this weekend likely means if you share living quarters with a person who has the virus, you have high likelihood of infection.

Slow moving virus??????? Seriously?
For reference - it took 8 months for SARS to infect more than 8000 people. COVID-19 has infected more than 75,000 people in about 8 weeks.
Honestly, its such false assurances that can cause more harm than the virus itself.
