I'm not sure who I'm aiming this question at directly but I hope the right person sees this.
My kids needs tutoring. An agency that I've used in the past tells me that they are starting to get govt services via CFTSS. (they currently do via HCBS and past years they did P3)
From what I understand, getting approved for CFTSS involves getting a therapist's eval and they will be billing via 'mentoring hours.' I also understand that this service falls under Z Codes.
The reason I've never wanted to get services via HCBS is because apparently these things are a permanent record on your name.
Compared to HCBS, how similar is it to have a Z Code tied to a persons name?

From what I understand, they all use some sort of billing code. Otherwise they won't get paid. There needs to be a diagnosis... z code or other code. How else can they bill?

Makes sense. But how different are the codes for P3 vs others? Especially since they are being evaluated by a therapist, it can fall under mental health.

From my understanding
To qualify for HCBS a child needed a diagnosis and significant risk factors for being hospitalized for a mental health disorder (potentially)
CFTSS the criteria is alot looser- child needs a diagnosis but it can be mild
