To clarify, the podcast isn't by Rachel Tuchman, she just recommended it.

This is from her IG post about it:
Some important take aways were:
1) Abusers don't just groom their victims, they groom their families too.
2) Even the most well-intentioned adults can miss the signs (many parents were in the room when their child was being abused by Larry). They thought Larry was the best doctor, the best friend, the best guy.
3) You MUST believe your child. Not listening or choosing to downplay or ignore can cause trauma deeper than the abuse itself.
4) Maintaining a relationship with your child's abuser is destructive to your child and to your relationship with your child. YOU are supposed to be their protector.
5) If your child discloses abuse don't ask them "What do you want to do?" REPORT IT TO THE AUTHORITIES and keep them away from that person.
6) TRUST YOUR GUT. If you feel like something is not right, go with that feeling and teach your kids to do the same thing.

Really interesting, but I'm not entirely convinced. yep that part was interesting and also the part where she talks about using Little Women like the bible or the igros just randomly opening it and seeking advice

Here is a podcast I just heard this morning about a type of speedy cognitive behavior therapy specifically used for s-xual trauma. The podcast gives a very good explanation and the woman improved significantly after 10 sessions

Believed podcast is amazing, the in depth view of molesters and how it affects survivors. I will never look at se-ual abuse the same way. To any survivors, you are a warrior,s amazing, and soo strong for overcoming this with all the shame involved.

This very interesting episode was about the son of Stormfront's founder- a literal neonazi - and how coming to friday night shabbat dinner for two years led to his disavowal of white supremacy. So many interesting aspects of this - the guy who invited him, the friend who convinced him of the wrongness of his beliefs, the way he turned his whole life and belief system upside down.

This episode of This American Life was about the Labor Day Parade. It gave me a little glimpse of the back story and the meaning that different groups find in this celebration, which to me always seemed so foreign. The most interesting part of course was Act Three, interviews with the chassidim. The little boys were cute, but the adult man sounded crazy pants all the way! Like a 5ex crazed nutso.

This podcast episode talks about Adverse Childhood Experiences and how these affect us and how we can become more resilient. I did not know about the ACE questionnaire before this podcast and I found it very interesting.

The average american gets a 2 apparently. The most normal people in my life scored 0-2 and the people who made the worst life decisions in my life scored 8-9.

This podcast talked about the recent vaping crisis and their analysis of why England doesn't have this problem at all, but the US does. http://freakonomics.com/podcas.....tine/

apparently it is not bc of e-cigarrettes but due to an additive in the THC oils.

I'm pretty conflicted about Esther Perel's marriage counseling podcasts this season... some of the episodes are horrible but others are just fabulous and so interesting. This one is a couple who divorced but then trying to figure out if they want to get back together and have more kids. I found it interesting that the husband's affair is treated like a minor footnote but it really overshadows everything.
