Sorry, just saw this
I was using "butterball" as a description of her personality. She's a standard Israeli mix, medium sized, with probably some Saluki and Canaani in her looks, but her attitude is all couch potato.

Kol hakavod.
Not only did you not adopt a dangerous dog, but you did a huge chessed by adopting an injured, abused one.
I hope she finds her happy forever home with you, and that she will bring you lots of joy.

She’s adorable! I grew up with a dog, but I can’t fathom being a good dog owner now with toddler twins (plus a husband who doesn’t like dogs).
I hope you and your family enjoy her!

Aw, I can relate!
Initially, I did not want to take care of a dog (ahem, another 3 year old) right now, but I think we really found one who fits our groove. I really enjoy her company. So now we're 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog. All we need now is a goat for 2 zuzzim, and we'll be good.

She's very much a chiller - her only challenge is that she's afraid of men, because some guys in Kfar Iblin tried to beat her to death before a passing animal activist rescued her. She spent two months at the vet, and lost one eye, but they did a very good job patching her up. All she needs is enough time to study what she's seeing, and then she's okay; even in the last few days, she's become much more relaxed around strangers.
Edit: can't make the images function work, so I'm just posting a link.
