A camp rebbe went missing in the water while helping a camper struggling in the water at a shore trip. As of about half an hour ago, the local news there was still reporting that the rebbe is being looked for.

This is an update. Please feel free to forward.
There is no new news at this time. The search time is literally using every type of technology and branch of government to search the area where Rabbi Bauman was last seen and is most likely to be based on computer models. Thousands of people and congregations throughout the world have been davening, including nonstop Tehillim here in Norfolk.
Many national organizations are involved including Chaveirim, Achiezer, and Chai Lifeline.
The boys are all safe and well. There will be a meeting tonight limited to parents of the boys who were there. The meeting will be at 9:00 with Rabbi Bender, and therapists from Chai Lifeline and locally.
There will be further meetings to be announced as events develop.
If you were planning to attend the Wilson wedding, please do so. We will keep everyone updated.
Point people on this are myself, Mrs. Haber with the family, Rabbi Litt with camp, and Rabbi Slone with rescue efforts.

I cannot imagine the family’s pain, and the pain of the 11 year old boy who will live with guilt for the rest of his life.
