Does anyone here know if one is allowed to use this on Yom Tov ?
Does it turn off automatically after after a certain amount of time? Does it depend which one?

It turns off when pot is removed. That's because it actually heats the pot and not the surface like a standard electric cooktop.

No, you can't. you complete the circuit when you put the pot on and off turns it off.

Can you suggest a similar type (portable) cooktop with 2 burners I can use?
Is this a feasible option?
