It’s always best to say “how much are you willing to pay”. They might be thinking of a number higher than yours.
What will be your responsibilities? Is this limudei chol or kodesh?

I want free or reduced tuition plus a salary.
Don't you? Just say so.

You can expect free or half off tuition and a salary that is a bit lower than the standard salary for the job you are doing. IMO.

He said the front desk secretaries working there for 1-2 years get an average of $20. This job is a lot more intense though.
Responsibilities would include tasks assigned by principal, creating forms and letters, behind the scenes program organization, communication with parents/staff/therapists etc.; pretty much everything the front desk and admin office doesn’t do. He explicitly said that it’s a heavy workload.
it’s kodesh and chol (1 principal)

I wish I’d know what the salary for a job like this is.
Is asking for $25/hr plus free tuition reasonable or pushing it?

If they're a wealthy school and you have skills worth it for them, they may agree.
How many kids do you have in the school and how much is tuition?

If you have kids in another school also you can pay tuition in those schools on pre-taxed money. It’s a small perk but something.

It’s a small school, tuition is about 10,000 for lower grades (don’t know about other grades).

The way I do these calculations is :What is this worth for me? For how much money would I say I want to take this job and for how much money would I say, no way, it's not worth my time. Then you ask for the amount you decide on. They might negotiate, and you get to decide if you want to lower your amount or skip the job.
