I've searched but haven't found what I'm looking for
Can someone please give me a simple recipe with brown sugar and ketchup to pour over fried cutlets, for sesame chicken? I can probably make up something on my own, but would rather have a definite recipe.
Thanks!

I have a recipe for a nice, thick, s&s sauce, but I don't see why you can't add sesame seeds and call it sesame chicken.
would you like the recipe?

It's funny, cuz I just finished deciding that I was gonna make sesame chicken for dinner tomorrow . Anyway, here's the recipe I use: (It's from the cookbook "Culinary Creations")
1 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup water
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. ketchup
a handful of sesame seeds
Saute onion and garlic. Add water, sugar, ketchup, and sesame seeds. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes. Pour over your fried chicken cutlets and bake at 350 for 10 minutes, uncovered.

But I do make that recipe occasionally when we have guests for shabbos. It's really really good!

LOL last night we had whole grain tuna wraps and a salad...on many nights I keep it REALLY simple, and usually try to be as healthy as possible, but occasionally I feel like making something different.

ok the sauce I use almost weekly its yummy either on simple breaded fried cutlets or over little pieces of cutlets coated in a mixture of flour, oil and water and then deep fried goes like this: (dont bet me on it, might not be exact.)
12 tbs sugar
6 tbs ketchup
4 tbs soy sauce
3 tbs vinegar
2 tbs corn starch diluted in 1 cup water
and sesame seeds of course.
boil until thickens.
g'luck

Thanks greeneyes and whatever, those are exactly what I was looking for!
CM , thanks for bumping it up, although I did see it, the recipe just seemed a bit complicated. I didn't want to patchke too much. I wanted the basic ketchup brown sugar recipe.
