Can anyone give me easy, step by step directions to cook a turkey roast? I've never done it before and have no clue what to do with it. It was on sale, so I stuck it in my freezer for y"t...

there is an easy recipe in the kosher pallette. It says use turkey breast roll, but I used a dark meat roll and people liked it. I cooked it and then sliced it and reheated in the sauce before I served it.

1 3-4 lb roast
1 cup sugar (brown) - I used white
1 c ketchup
3/4 c water
1/4 c oil
3 tbsps balsamic vinegar (I used regular and it was fine)
3 tbsps soysauce
1 onion diced

mix all up, pour over turkey, bake at 450 covered for an hour. reduce to 350 and bake for 30 40 minutes until done. (170 on thermometer, or cut to make sure it is done)

I also served it cold on shabbos day.

You can just use some orange juice or wine...you can cut up onions, carrots, potatoes and bake it plain, basting it...

you can cook it with pickling spice, whine, salt & pepper and onion soup mix (optional). Slice and reheat in a bekela with mushroom sauce.
