I have goosebumps, I'm so happy for the family. I'm sending Trump a letter and will encourage my kids to do the same since they wrote to both Obama and Trump asking them to intervene.
I also think a HUGE debt of gratitude goes to Mr. Pinchus Lipschutz, the editor of the Yated, for his relentless coverage and enormous work he has done on behalf of the Rubashkins. I truly believe he was a key shaliach in making this happen.
(I'm also glad MagentaYenta isn't here to spoil the moment. Let's keep it that way, ladies.)

It is 2.5 hours from Monsey to Otisville and 2.5 hours back and nobody knows yet in Monsey whether the celebration tonight will take place in Monsey, 770, or the Ohel and people are pledging money for the celebration that will take place but the plans for that celebration are still being formulated.
Shalom Mordechai's father is dancing with Chassidim in Boro Park and this day will go down in history.

one of my sons lives in Monsey and another one lives down the street from 770 and our kids are going coo coo with happiness so it's going to be a long night!

My daughter-in-law sent me the news and I am thrilled! For years (in response to a thread on Imamother) I had been saying Tehillim 121 for Mr. Rubashkin. It is amazing that he has been freed! As so many people are saying here, a Chanukah miracle. And I say, G-d bless President Trump, for this and for his advocacy for Yerushalayim as the capital of Israel.
