LOL. My mom & sister have one that comes out great but ALWAYS flops when I try. It's 1 rich's whip (8oz) to 1 instant choc pudding. I son't know if you whip the whip & the add the pudding or pour both in together & whip. All I know is it's supposed to be light & fluffy & fill up the crust. Mine comes out very thick & isn't enough to fill the crust.

you are probably talking about rosemary pie. I make something similar that is always a hit:
chocolate-mousse dessert:
8 oz. chocolate chips, melted
4 sticks margarine, melted
4 Cups confectionary sugar
8 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
Beat. Pour into graham cracker
Freeze until chocolate is hard.
Whip up a dessert whip and shake in confectionary sugar while whipping.
Spread on top.
Freeze.
You can add chocolate sprinkles or shavings on top to make is look fancy.
This makes enough for TWO PIES!

Can you find out the exact recipe from your mother or sister ?

It's not just you. I find I need something like 1 1/2 - 2 rich's whips to one instant chocolate pudding and then whipping it up really does make it more like a mousse instead of a pudding. I also found that I start out whipping with one rich's whip then slowly add in soy milk instead of more whip which somehow seems more healthy to me.

because the same thing momof3 described happens to me. I use a bowl to whip up the mousse by the way. the pie pan isn't really figuring in here. With only one whip it's way too thick and actually chewy. It's simple. I needed to add more liquid. then you can fill into a typical pie pan (like the graham cracker crusts you can get at the store)

I hate chewy ice cream. I made something for dd's high school graduation and the chewiness ruined it for me.
