What can I do to encourage my "lazy" child to help out more?
he just never seems to get to anything.
I ask him to bring me a bag, 8/10 times he wont do it.
and no matter what I say or do, still wont do it.
he's 4 by the way.

also I'm not asking b/c I need his help, but rather b/c of chinuch. laziness is an undesirable trait.

he's only 4 - at this stage it's all a game ... make it fun perhaps it will change how much he wants to help ...

I think that sometimes a kid's laziness can be enforced from our own attitude towards certain thing. ie, if you are excited and eager to do something, it will most probably rub off on your kids, and v.v.

A child is never lazy... remove that label from him even if its only in your head, and think why isnt he motivated? What can I do to motivate him? Especially since he's only 4.

I was expecting this post to be about a teenager. Are you really calling your four year old lazy? At this age, children are following the examples shown to them.
