There are no words. We live in a backwards world. It saddens me that so many Jews align themselves with these people. Notice the black lives matters sign. These people are so confused. They have no idea what they stand for.

They have absolutely no idea what they stand for. As evidenced by their black lives matter sign. You can find their picture In the dictionary, under the word “useful idiots”. They have o idea what they are chanting about. If they had any idea about the truth of the history of Israel and the Palestinians they wouldn’t be chanting. It is absolutely hilarious to compare the Israelis to the nazis.

I'll admit, my immediate reaction to your title was, "Why is this 'In The News'?"

Yet it does shock me a bit each time I see something like this. Does "useful idiot" stand on a better rung than "deeply evil"?

There is a glimmer of hope: if you have the fortitude (and the tolerance for obscene language) to watch the clip, you'll notice that toward the end, the students gathered to listen to Mr. Horowitz yell back at the group of protesters and mock them. This would not have happened two or three years ago. Students would have felt too intimidated to respond. So while it's not exactly the civil exchange of ideas we associate with the ideal academic environment, at least there's some pushback.

And, of course, David Horowitz was allowed to speak, which isn't always the case.

Anyone who is concerned about this issue may want to read about the Israel on Campus Coalition Israel on Campus. Among other things, they provide training for student activists to respond effectively at the campus level to BDS and SJP initiatives. I've kept up with the organization for a couple of years, and I'm very impressed with how much progress they've made.

Recently, I had a conversation with a college student about bias and the anti Israel movement in colleges across this country. I asked him whether he knew any students who participated in BDS groups and such. He informed me that some of the "friends" he interacts with on campus are indeed part of the BDS groups or "free palestine" groups and that they choose to participate in them out of "Curiosity" and for the sake of something to do or "student activism".
