Ouch.
My stomach is cramping away.
I so much hate the symptoms.
I have a strong family history of chrons.
I haven't yet been diagnosed. I have my first appointment tomorrow.
I've been on steroids for a few weeks. Every week going down in strengths.
Till now it had helped. Now I'm back in to the pain and the other symptoms...
Any advice?
Anything that has helped?

Also I once saw advertised that they are looking for people with chron's to study etc. as there isn't enough knowledge about this. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Did you fast? For some fasting is ok. For others (like me) fast excabarates it and has almost landed me in hospital so I may only fast while taking shiurim.
Good luck at the appointment.
How come they gave you steroids before a diagnosis?

There are regularly clinical trials on new drugs going on, and a lot of the drugs have been approved. So if you're thinking of testing re drugs, that might not be necessary, but then again, a doctor who's hooked up with clinical trials will be up on the latest approved drugs, e.g. Entivio and others.

I hope you get a clear diagnosis. Refuah shleima!

Thanx for understanding.
Yes I did fast.
I wonder if that's what has set off my stomach today.
I thought it was the lower steroid dose.
The GP prescribed steroids because I got him to speak to the nurses at the Gastro team.
I have a strong family history and my symptoms were steadily getting worse.
I'm so grateful that I have an appointment tomorrow rather than waiting another few months as was the originally plan.

Hugs.

I've had Crohns for 13 years.

Personally, stress and lack of sleep are the most likely culprits to cause a flair. I've never been able to pinpoint a food that was bad for me.

I've been on the SCD diet twice for nearly a year and it didn't help me, but it's helped many people.

Hatzlachah and refuah shelaimah!

I have Crohns and can’t fast (doctor’s orders). Steroids without food probably caused your pain. Try Pepcid if you have some abd sdk the dr tomorrow. Good luck!
