I usually just make my sushi with salmon, avocado, scallions and cucumbers. I want to experiment with different combinations.
I have seaweed, rice and white and black sesame seeds.
I have salmon and fake crab. I'm thinking of using tuna for those that are scared of raw fish.
I have avocados, mangos, scallions, cucumbers, carrots, red and green peppers.
Any other good ideas using other ingredients?

I used to make the sushi rice that came packaged as sushi rice. now I live in argentina and cant get it here. when im able to get it (read: when I bring back from ny) I make a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar and salt and gently mix it in to the rice when its finished cooking. (they say to do it in a non reactive glass bowl with a wooden or plastic spoon) when I cant get rice vinegar I just mix reg vinegar with some sugar and a drop of salt. then u can just put whatever u want inside the rolls. I think the trick to making good sushi is getting the rice right.
u can experiment with all kinds of fish. I just discovered that they have kosher fake crab here so im really excited. (for anyone else living in south america, my husband said he read somewhere that the fake crab here is more watery so u should squeeze it out before using it)

Try breslovs measurements. They sound right. I don't always measure things. Last night I put too much vinegar so I had to keep adding sugar. I ended up using it for a few batches. We're having a bday party tonight for my dh with lots of sushi and chinese:)

I just had the ickiest sushi at a wedding last night. They called it sushi, but there was no seaweed at all, and it was made with smoked fish, and served with sweet and sour sauce. Made me wanna puke...
