We parked next to a fancy convertable one day and as I'm getting my 2 yr old out of the car he looks at the convertable with the top down and goes: "oh no the car is broken!" 
it took a while to convince him that the owner actually wanted the car to NOT have a top.

h ha we had the same story!! and then mine aslo wanted to know what happens when it rains! we told them it was a very expensive car and it meant to be that way- the kids said why would you pay so much for a half a car! and you get wet!
