I'm interested to know how other kindergarten teachers teach kriah to 5-6 year olds. Please share!

there are many diff. methods
I found, what works for me, is first teach all letters by name, make sure child knows it FLUENTLY.
then teach names of nekudos (don't skip this part)
then combine one nekuda at a time
then combine nekudos together
then words
then shva
don't go on before child is ready.
thats my general answer

Have you ever checked out the website called www.echinuch.com? It is an amazing site where teachers share a lot of ideas. YOu could get worksheets and ideas there.
