Ever since Sukkos, my entire digestive system has been a mess- esp when I eat gluten. I've done some research and have many of the symptoms listed for both Crohn's and celiac. What is the main difference between the two? And being that I am in a new city with no doctor yet, if I go on a completely gluten free diet, will my symptoms be alleviated?

If you go on a gluten-free diet before you get blood work, you will never know if you are celiac or not. It's kind of like taking a strep culture after you've started antibiotics.
I suggest that you try to work on getting an appointment asap at a good internist or gastro doctor.

Crohn's is an inflamation of the intestines, while celiac is an allergy to gluten. If it's celiac, going off gluten should help. If it's Crohn's, you may need to eliminate other foods, and you may also need medicine. Only a doctor can help you with that.

You should get a colonoscopy asap.
Do this before trying to alter your diet.

ITA. That was one of the most frustrating things when my dd was being diagnosed. We knew based on her blood work that there was a good chance she had celiac. But she had to continue eating gluten until after she had an endoscopy, otherwise they can't properly diagnose it. So she was still in pain even though we knew that going gluten free would almost probably cure her. B"H within a couple weeks of going off gluten she felt totally better.

as someone who has crohns for almost 6 years, may I suggest something? When I first got diagnosed, my doctor had me on a strong therapy of probiotics and vitimin D for about 3 months. Sometimes gut diseases stem from bacteria and can be healed this way. Only after 3 months did we start with all the studies, tests and procedures. If eliminating gluten makes you feel better than its prob celiac or cellulites. If you feel you only feel good when to eliminate chemicals, preservatives, dairy, sugars, fats and some friuts and veggies its most likely crohns, colitis or lyme. Good luck and feel good!
