My 14-year old daughter graduated elementary school today.
We try not to over-indulge our children, but it is embarrassing to admit that there is not a single thing we could have bought her for a gift. We are devastated! She has a camera, she has a MP3 player, she has jewelry, she just bought herself a trip knapsack, she has photo albums, picture frames. Can anybody come up with a suggestion that might work? We would love to get her SOMETHING!!!
Thanks.

a nice diary with a lock?
a siddur/tehillim with her name engraved
a nicely done collage of famiily pictures
this is a bit expensive but they have talking albums - you can upload the picture and then have the person in the picture say something to her
get her an art and crafts shed enjoy doing
a jewlryt box
a gift certificate
a day out with you

I know, its such a problem in todays 'spoiled' generation. When we were kids we always had a long list of things that we wanted (that we didn't have). Now, my kids dont have what to ask for afikomen anymore cause they practically have everything!

Maybe a small set of machzorim? Does she have that already?

Thanks for the suggestions, but nopes, won't work. She has several siddurim/tehillims with and without her name engraved. She has set machzorim. She has jewelry boxes. Craft stuff. Gift certificates.
Gosh! Maybe I get her a chosson? She doesn't have that yet!!! LOL LOL

I dont know how much you want to spend but maybe get her a wristlet. I see all the girls using them today. Its like a pocketbook slash wallet all in one. Its very practical cuz it can hold money, and some other stuff and not be this huge bag.

Yeah, thats a good idea. Again, you may not want to spend this one, but coach is very "IN" for the wristlets for that age. www.coach.com

A shopping trip with just you and her?
A trip to the theme park for her and friends?

She's got something like the wristlet, the mobile phone is out, maybe a trip somewhere on these in-between days from when school's over and camp has not started yet.
Thanks gals; you're the best!
