Hi,
I would love some advice please. I am not the greatest salad maker, but have lots of ingredients on hand and am not sure if they would go together well or not
I was thinking of putting in my salad:
shredded cabbage
slivered almonds
scallions
craisins
does this sound nice or not?
what kind of dressing could I do? maybe something with vinegar, brown sugar, spices and oil?
please advise!

that sounds delish. I like a contrast so if you have lots of crunchy things, I would put something soft like an avocado or oranges.

1 bag shredded cabbage
2 scallions
1/3 cup silvered toasted almonds
dressing over salad:
3/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
I usually put in sesame seeds but should be great with craisins

This one doesn't have vinegar and it's surprisingly good. But you can do a standard one part each sugar, oil, vinegar dressing if you'd like.
