Hope you had a wonderful time and that there were no disappiontments either. going away before pesach is hard and not advisable that I can tell you from experience.

How is everyone's Pesach? Those that have gone away are probably ejoying themselves with the lack of work they had to do beforehand and the lack of work for meals. Aaah, we all envy them. Well I do.

thank you supermom!
I had a great time B"H! had a nasty fall though on my last day in NY.....so couldn't do much when I got back, but B"H all worked out, the house is very kosher for pesach, we survived 2 seder nights and lots of guests....back to normal now, until we have guests for the second hag!
anyway, about New York - I mean wow!! did I feel european or what?! overwhelmed, and totally do not understand how a new yorker could live in europe and not be totally bored!

Supermom Congratulations!!! maybe you should change your user name to yentamom. Or even Superyenta....it would probably suite the top 2 posters better though.

we have a lot of neigbhors to borrow from if we need anything on the spur of the moment. but there are always people going into town and all. so if you need something emergancy for that day someone can always pick it up either by their school or on the way coming home from work. it is not as bad as it sounds trust me.

I go every thursday take a bus with a cart, a briefcase, and my free extra hands and go shopping. the only problem is shlepping it all the way to the central bus station, thru the medal detectors, down the stairs, and finally to the elevators and then straight to the bus with relief. I tell you it is a workout on its own.
kupat cholim there is a doctor that comes to the yishuv twice a week if not then we go to efrat which is a twenty minute drive. for doctors like for eye, pregnancy, foot etc. then we have to go into town. like I said before you just get use to it after a while.
