Making a sushi salad for Shabbos day lunch.
Should I dress and marinate before Shabbos or right Before the meal?
Im not prepping the avocado til right before, if I dress now should I put everything else in, or just marinate the rice?

I usually just season the rice and then add the rest of the ingredients right before. bring the rice back to room temp before using it. and season the salad with additional seasoned rice vinegar.

idk about op but mine is based off of this recipe:

I made some changes due to personal taste, such as omitting the ginger. also, I prefer it with sushi rice rather than long grain rice.

pretty simple:

Rice (I have used sushi rice, or white rice)
imitation crab
shredded carrots
scallions
cucumber
avocado

Dressing:
2 tbls rice vinegar
2 tbls soy sauce
1 tbls toasted sesame oil

Garnish
black sesame seeds or toasted white sesame seeds.

let rice marinate with dressing.
cut up everything else small, put in right before you serve.
