I wonder if any of the neighborhood bakeries do that (not post on ebay, make the key shape for this week).

You got it, the whole segulah applies only if YOU make it. it’s a segulah I think that men made up to get you to pack away the pesach dishes in time to have a perfect chomets shabbos in time…. gimeabreak.

why is that fine to say here ... and not for the other things men make up ...
I am insulted for the challah ... it is a segulah for parnassa ... some of us take it seriously ...

I ended up buying the challah in a bakery. $3.75.
Her idea was good, but with shipping most people woudn't bid, I guess.

Anyone who keeps kosher can't buy a homebaked challah from a stranger on the internet. You have no clue if she really keeps a kosher kitchen, no clue what kind of hygiene she uses when baking, no clue if she took challah with a bracha or not, etc, etc. She might be a fine person and 100% kosher, but I am not surprised no one placed a bid.

How do you know it wasn't egg white used to glaze the crust? Or shouldn't I ask?
