Hi I am looking for a recipe for a purple cabbage salad but have very specific requirements in mind....
Anyone have a purple cabbage salad that has almonds and craisins, but no mandarin oranges or mayo?

Have you looked at other red cabbage/purple cabbage threads?
And if you find a no mayo yes oranges recipe, you can probably leave out the oranges safely. Hatzlacha!

This doesn't have craisins but I don't see why you can't put some.
1/4 c oil
6 Oz raimen noodles (2 pkg)
1 lb red cabbage
3-4 scallions thinly sliced
1/2 c sesame seeds
1/2 c slivered almonds
Sauce:
1/2 c oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c red wine vinegar
Take the noodles and all nuts and put them in heated 1/4 c oil in the oven. Let it toast for 20 mins. Place mixture into cabbage and put dressing over it. (Before serving)
Hope this helps this is one of our favorite salads. You can also use 2 bags of shredded cabbage instead of the 1 lb of cabbage to make prep even faster. Enjoy!

I found a recipe that meets my criteria in the cookbook "CHIC made simple". Anyone tried the purple cabbage and yellow bell pepper slaw?
