I have been married a few years now and many of my challah dekels have been fairly heavily used. Some of them are quite stained - with wine, grape juice etc..
I really like them and want to get the more stained ones looking more presentable.
What is the best way to clean them???

My beautiful silk one got a stain - so I just handwashed it and the stains came out. Look at the label, maybe you can machine wash on gentle.

ours has a zipperered plastic cover. that might be good for you too.

I would soak it in woolite or something for gentle cleaning, and then lay it flat for drying, on a towel somewhere.
I've done that with the ones with the metalic embroidery on it. It works. I do my matzo covers the same way at the end of Pesach.

I have the navy velvet ones, I wash AND dry them all the time, perfectly fine.
