The old one just died (BDE ) I need your recommendations for a good washing machine with features like pre-wash, gentle and extra gentle settings and soak. I also need it to handle big loads.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
IceTea

I would love to get those industrial looking front loaders, but have not done any research yet into the matter.

I thought that was what I wanted, but when the repair guy was last here, he said that they break easily and are expensive to repair. He said that the computer board that runs them has an average lifespan of 5 years and costs almost as much as the machine to replace.
I loved the AEG frontloader I had in Israel.

Is there a virus going around or what? Mind died too!
It lived for 13 years. How long did yours live?
I called a repairman, for the first time in 13 years, and he checked it out and said it's dead. He sells machines as well and he recommended the whirlpool extra large one.
The repairman is Mr. Spilman, and he brought me a machine from Drimmer's.
I paid $75 sevice fee (plus disconnecting old and reconnecting new machine), $20 for removing my old one from my apt., $490 for the machine, $41 in tax.
I checked Costco online, they have the exact same machine. Check out the price difference. However, I am glad I helped support another yid.
