I hate cooking and don't have any recipes. I just sort of throw everything together, that's the problem.

May I make a donation and get a copy that way? Or pay for it? Or is it only for members that contribute? I thought I read something like that earlier in the thread.

Yes. On the opening post, she says that if you can't or don't want to contribute recipes, you can get the book/list by contributing money to a charity that is yet to be agreed upon.

Just thinking-if many of the weeks are the same as Busy Bee's book, would she be able to get you in trouble for copying her idea and recipes? Do you think we need to be protected from a lawsuit (or something less drastic)?

From the research I've done the matzav is so pathetic the only ones that can sue are the people the recipes belonged to originally that had them published by her without express permission.

I can't wait to get a copy.

Ok-

To go over a few questions:

1) EVERYONE will be able to get a copy of the book. Either for freee (if you contribute) or for a very nominal donation of $5 a book. The book are all going to come as a PDF, I believe.

2) Everyone is still welcome to send in their recipes. I am re-writing as need be, but oviously I rather keep it to a minimum. I am happy to help in special cases like not such great english etc.

3) If you sent something to the email- PLLEASE check the email you sent me mail from to confirm receipt or see if I needed changes or something didnt attach. If you sent but have not received anything from me, I did not receive it so please send again.

There are about 8 weeks left, with three of those saved for people who did not attach documents to me by accident. If you would like to send it in, please send it ASAP.

Many thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I am kind of annoyed that I spent time putting together recipes just to have someone disappear with them. BUT, then I realised that it does not have to be this way. Everyone emailed her, correct?

Maybe we can set up a Google docs/ group email of some kind and all forward our emails there. Then maybe a graphic designer can volunteer to collate everything.

Here is the part I think will be amazing though. Everyone who sends in recipes gets a copy emailed to them for free. Those who do not want/ are unable to send in recipes but want a copy can get one if they make a $5 donation to a tzedaka of our choice. I thought, maybe, since it is an Imamother project we could find one of the recent tzedakas suggested here on our boards (I know obsesseddancer and Chai Lifeline is one; I am sure there are other really deserving causes too) and we then have a tzedaka project going! We can send it to our friends as well and see if anyone else is interested in receiving a copy for a small donation.

It also means all those who missed out the first time will have a chance to pitch in.

What do you all think?

Is there any way I could humbly request that the tzedaka donations be sent to the fund set up for Yosef kalter, a"h, and now his widow and children? I think it would be quite appropriate to send the money made from something for kids to help take care of these poor little children. Also bli neder I will send mine tonight.

I second that! I didn't know the Kalters, but I know Bracha's sister from seminary and was following Chaim Yosef's progress for the duration of his illness. It is most truly a worthy cause...but unfortunalty there are indeed many worthy causes that could benefit from our project!
