I was reading an article about women who are certified in brit milah. There is a mohelet by the name of Dr. Grope.

I personally know an accountant with the last name of Goldgrab.

My sister used to go to a dentist named Dr. Payne.

Anyone got some good ones?

We once had a Dr named Dr Hurts

In my mind it was Hertz and didn't mean anything till my 5 year old said "Dr Hurts"??

I used to use a lovely Chinese dentist named Dr. Fang.

Worse though, is when I tried a new Russian dentist. He introduced himself and then in walked a rather short, scary, hunchbacked man and the dentist said, I kid you not, "This is my assistant, Igor."

I have an Israeli friend who said she knew someone who named their child "Chamor." And their last name was Shaleim."

She also knew a girl named "Kadit."

Why do people do this to their kids?

I know a guy who named his children some extremely unusual names. two daughters were named Lucrezia and harley (guess what thier surname was) and Aristotle and Octavious were just two of the names of one of their sons. When he was called up to get his degree the guy reading the names was in shock.

Is he a dentist of some sort? A friend of mine, Benjy Hertz, is "Dr. Hertz" too. Smile

Nope regular Dr. and I think that's why he made Aliya - No business in an Anglo country.

It's like the Chevy Nova car - They tried selling them in S. America - Va means to go in Spanish (like Vamoose) A car called No Va was not a big seller

I know an auditor whose last name is Shmuck (an unfortunate name to begin with, but all the worse given his job). Had a Professor Moriarty- who actually admitted that her name was part of the reason she became a professor. Also, not unfortunate per se, but I always loved how there was once a Supreme Court Justice named Learned Hand.
